Gilmore Girls is one of my all-time favorite TV shows. I spend a lot of time thinking about it. Probably more than I should. There’s a little corner of my brain that just continues to the stories (like Lorelei and Luke finally do get married. The reception’s at Miss Patty’s. Taylor and Kirk have a huge fight over who gets to preform the ceremony. OK, I definitely think about this show more than I should).

Anyway. After all the thinking, I’ve determined that Rory, who after an unbelievably brilliant job on Obama’s campaign trail has landed a job assisting White House Communications Director, ends up with Jess. 

Now. Before all you Dean fans start yelling, hear me out. In high school, Dean absolutely adores Rory and is probably the sweetest guy on the planet. And Jess is a total dick. But after high school, Dean is grumpy, miserable and “trapped”. So much so that he cheats on his wife with Rory. And then whines some more about his lot in life. Jess grows up, gets his shit together, and writes a damn book. 

Jess wins.
