Sometimes a story finds you at the exact moment you need it most. Like the fates have conspired together and brought you the exact thing you need in your life most in that instance. Sometimes it’s a comic or book or a movie or a song. Right now it’s the new Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra’s new song (and video) “Want it Back”.
I freaking love this song right now! It’s just brilliant and amazing and exactly what I need to hear. I’ve listened to the song like eleventy hundred times since my roommate showed me the video last night - which is complete and total amazeballs. No really. It’s a tremendous feat in stop animation and calligraphy. And there’s this raw, manic energy that’s just unstoppable, in the song and the video.
Ugh, I love it so much. I need to just curl up in this song and live there for a while.
