Meg from Hercules is easily my favorite Disney “princess”. She is snarky and flawed and just plain wonderful when it comes down to it. And look, I get that Hercules, when compared to the Disney renaissance of the 90s, wasn’t the greatest movie. But that doesn’t mean poor Meg should get shelved when all of the other princesses are dominating, well, everything. I love Meg because, aside from being awesome, she’s a little bit broken and she makes mistakes. But she also says, “these are my mistakes and I don’t need you to fix them for me.”
